Gen 1 488 introduced a 3.9L twin-turbo V8 replacing the NA engine, adding SSC2 side-slip control and more advanced active aerodynamics to improve acceleration, traction and high-speed stability.

3.9L twin-turbo V8 (F154) paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, using direct injection and turbo management for strong low-end torque and sharp response; torque is sent to the rear wheels with electronic diff and traction systems.
