Gen 1 458 Speciale focused on extreme weight reduction, major aero revisions and Ferrari Side Slip Control (SSC) to raise the handling limit; added active aero front flaps and quicker F1-DCT shift logic for stronger track performance.

4.5L naturally aspirated V8 with direct injection and high-rev tuning, paired with a 7-speed F1 dual-clutch gearbox and RWD; integrated E-Diff, F1-Trac and SSC for improved traction and corner-exit speed.
