GR Yaris

The 1st-gen GR Yaris was developed with WRC intent, featuring the GR-FOUR AWD system, a lightweight/high-rigidity body concept, and a high-output 1.6L turbo 3-cylinder with a rally-focused chassis. A major update from 2024 (same generation) raised output/torque, improved cooling, added an 8-speed automatic option, and refreshed electronics.

Powered by the 1.6L turbocharged inline-3 G16E-GTS paired with the GR-FOUR AWD system (multi-mode front/rear torque distribution). Initially offered mainly with a 6-speed manual; from 2024 a new 8-speed automatic became available along with higher peak torque and durability/cooling upgrades.
