The 1st-gen Model 3 is a mid-size BEV sedan built around Tesla’s integrated e-drive and software/OTA update approach. The 2023-on “Highland” is a facelift (same generation), focusing on aero and NVH improvements, redesigned lighting and exterior, upgraded cabin materials/features (e.g., ambient lighting/rear display), plus efficiency and range optimizations.

Battery-electric powertrain with an electric motor drive (commonly RWD in HK for this output class) and a single-speed reduction gearbox. Powered by a high-voltage lithium battery, with regenerative braking and software-controlled power delivery/thermal management, continuously improved via OTA updates.
