The 3rd-gen Mégane moved to the Renault–Nissan C-platform with improved body structure and safety tech; the RS models gained more advanced chassis tuning (Sport/Cup) and integrated traction/ESP calibration for better high-speed stability and track capability.
Uses a 2.0L turbocharged inline-4 (M5Rt) with a 6-speed manual; around 250 PS and 340 Nm. Front-wheel drive with performance-oriented calibration; a limited-slip differential is commonly fitted on Cup chassis versions.
