The 1st-gen Taycan is Porsche’s first mass-production BEV sports saloon, featuring an 800V electrical architecture for high-power fast charging, dual-motor AWD, and a 2-speed rear transmission to balance launch performance with high-speed efficiency, plus Porsche-grade chassis electronics and torque management.

Battery-electric powertrain with (variant-dependent) dual permanent-magnet synchronous motors, a single-speed front drive and a 2-speed rear transmission, AWD with regenerative braking; 800V battery system enables high-power DC fast charging (subject to charger and conditions).
