1st-gen Taycan introduced an 800V electrical architecture with dual-motor AWD, high-power DC fast charging, and a 2-speed rear transmission to improve acceleration, efficiency and high-speed range, supported by advanced thermal management and regenerative braking control.

Dual permanent-magnet synchronous motors (front/rear) with electric AWD, a 2-speed gearbox on the rear axle, and an 800V battery/inverter system enabling strong performance, regenerative braking and high-power DC fast charging.
