The 1st-gen Discovery Sport replaced the Freelander with a new transverse-engine SUV package and optional 7-seat practicality. The 2019 facelift introduced PTA electrified architecture with available 48V MHEV, refreshed infotainment and driver-assistance features, and improved efficiency/emissions via Ingenium engines.
2.0L Ingenium turbocharged inline-4 petrol (commonly the Si4 ~240 PS level), paired with a 9-speed automatic (ZF 9HP) and AWD. Post-facelift, some variants add 48V MHEV (market/year dependent) to improve low-end response and efficiency/emissions.
