Gen 2 Focus RS introduced a 2.5L turbo inline‑five with a heavily uprated FWD chassis, using RevoKnuckle front suspension to reduce torque steer and a Quaife LSD to improve traction and cornering performance.

2.5L turbocharged inline‑five petrol engine with a 6‑speed manual transmission and FWD layout; fitted with a Quaife limited‑slip differential and uprated driveline to handle the high torque output.
