The 1st-gen X4 (G02) moved to BMW’s CLAR architecture for a stiffer/lighter body, with updated chassis tuning and expanded driver-assistance features. It also brought upgraded iDrive/connected infotainment, improving overall refinement, safety and tech versus the previous generation.
Hong Kong-spec 2020 X4 xDrive20i uses a 2.0L B48 turbocharged inline-4 petrol engine with an 8-speed Steptronic automatic and BMW xDrive AWD. The engine features direct injection and variable valve timing/lift technologies to balance performance and efficiency.
