The 3rd-gen X3 moved to BMW’s CLAR architecture for improved rigidity and weight efficiency, enhancing handling and refinement. It also brought newer iDrive/connected features and driver-assistance tech. The 2021 facelift refreshed lighting and bumpers, updated infotainment, and revised trim/equipment lines.
The xDrive30i uses the 2.0L B48 turbo inline-four with an 8-speed Steptronic automatic and xDrive AWD. Key tech includes direct injection, Valvetronic variable valve lift and Double VANOS for a balance of performance and efficiency.
