The 1st-gen R 12 nineT introduces a new chassis layout with updated modern rider aids (ride modes, traction control, and optional cornering ABS/DTC), alongside revised suspension/brake tuning, improving handling and everyday usability while keeping the retro/custom focus.

Powered by a 1,170cc air/oil-cooled flat-twin (Boxer) engine with a 6-speed manual gearbox and shaft final drive; features ride-by-wire, multiple ride modes and traction control, with optional more advanced cornering ABS/DTC-type electronic aids.
