The 1st-gen iX3 is the first full-electric X3, introducing BMW 5th-gen eDrive (integrated motor/inverter/transmission) with a ~74 kWh-class high-voltage battery, CCS DC fast charging, battery pre-conditioning and multiple regen modes to improve efficiency and real-world usability.

Rear-wheel-drive single-motor BEV powertrain with 210 kW and 400 Nm; single-speed reduction gear; ~74 kWh high-voltage Li-ion battery (~70 kWh usable class), CCS DC fast charging (up to ~150 kW) and AC charging support.
