The 8th-gen 5 Series (G60) brings new exterior/interior design, iDrive 8.5 with a curved display, and expanded driver-assistance/parking tech; it also introduces the fully electric i5 range, marking a major step in electrification and digitalization.

The i5 eDrive40 uses a single rear-mounted electric motor (RWD) rated at 250 kW and 400 Nm, with a single-speed reduction gear and a high-voltage lithium-ion battery system, featuring regenerative braking and multiple drive modes.
