The 2nd-gen TT adopted an ASF hybrid body (aluminum + high-strength steel) to improve rigidity while reducing weight, with updated chassis and stability/control electronics for sharper handling and improved safety versus the previous generation.

2.0 TFSI turbocharged inline-4 (EA113) with direct injection; commonly paired with a 6-speed S tronic dual-clutch in Hong Kong (6-speed manual also existed in some trims), typically around 200 ps and 280 Nm.
