The 2nd-gen TT RS moved to the MQB platform with a lighter, stiffer body, pairing quattro with a 7-speed S tronic and more advanced chassis/electronic controls, delivering a major jump in performance and handling precision versus the previous generation; the 2019 facelift refreshed aero styling and equipment packaging.

2.5L turbocharged inline-5 (TFSI) paired with a 7-speed S tronic dual-clutch transmission and quattro all-wheel drive; around 400 PS and 480 Nm, with 0–100 km/h in about 3.7 s (can vary slightly by spec).
