Gen 1 V8 Vantage introduced Aston Martin’s VH bonded-aluminium architecture for higher rigidity and reduced weight, paired with a front-mid engine and rear transaxle layout to improve weight distribution and handling.

4.3L naturally aspirated V8 with either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed Sportshift automated manual (rear transaxle), rear-wheel drive; high-rev character focused on throttle response and sound.
