1st-gen Vantage introduced the VH bonded-aluminium architecture for low weight and high rigidity, plus a rear transaxle layout for improved weight distribution and handling with modern stability/traction systems.

4.7L naturally aspirated V8 with either a 6-speed manual or Sportshift automated manual, using a rear transaxle layout; no turbocharging, tuned for linear high-rev response.
