Gen 1 4C introduced a carbon-fiber monocoque with aluminum subframes for very low mass and high rigidity, paired with a mid-mounted turbo engine and dual-clutch gearbox, focusing on agility, aerodynamics, and drive-mode electronics.

Mid-mounted 1.75L turbocharged inline-4 (1750 TBi) with direct injection, driving the rear wheels via a 6-speed TCT dual-clutch transmission; DNA drive modes adjust throttle, shift strategy and stability-control intervention.
