Compact hot hatch with a 3.2L V6 soundtrack and strong mid‑range pull. Muscular styling, quick steering, and a planted stance make every commute or back road feel sharper and more engaging.
The 1st-gen 147 (Type 937) moved to a newer C-segment platform versus the 146, improving body rigidity and crash safety, with broader adoption of stability/traction electronics (VDC/ASR etc., depending on HK year/trim) and revised chassis/steering tuning. The GTA added uprated brakes and a more performance-focused chassis around the 3.2 V6.
The 147 GTA uses a naturally aspirated 3.2L ‘Busso’ V6 (about 3179cc) with a 6-speed manual or (in some markets/years) Selespeed automated manual; front-engine, FWD layout, around 250 PS and 300 Nm. It’s tuned for linear throttle response and high-rev character with multi-point fuel injection.
